Buyer's Guide

ESCAPC labels PC configurations with performance TIERs to match what game developers and platform designers recommend. The guides below will help pick your TIER. One guide is for gaming/streaming and one is for 3d art/animation/design, AutoCAD, and music.

Guide for gaming and streaming
TIER 4 is good for almost all games and VR. Some popular games use more or less performance than TIER 4. Check the TIER boxes at the bottom of the page.

Maximizing FPS, or frame rates
Want the maximum FPS on a monitor that is faster than 1080p 60hz? Add TIERs for each number that applies. (example: Fortnite is in TIER 3, so a TIER 3 PC will play Fortnite at a steady 60 fps during big battles on a 1080p monitor. A TIER 4 PC will play Fortnite at a steady 120 fps during big battles on a 1080p monitor. A TIER 5 PC will play Fortnite at a steady 240 fps during big battles on a 1080p monitor.)
    1. 1440p monitor                      + 1 TIER
    2. 4k monitor                            + 2 TIER
    3. Any monitor 75hz to 120hz + 1 TIER
    4. Any monitor 144hz or more + 2 TIER
Guide for 3d art/animation/design, 2d video/image editing, music, and AutoCAD
TIER 5 with the 32gb RAM option is good for 3d art/animation/design, but some professionals like to choose the 64gb RAM option. For working on 1440p content, add 1 or more TIERs. For working on 4k content, add 2 or more TIERs. TIER 4 with the 16gb RAM option is good for AutoCAD. TIER 3 with the 16gb RAM option is good for basic 2d video editing, photoshop, and music production.
